In what appears to be a show of force, Kithure Kindiki, the CS in charge of interior coordination, has already landed in Turkana, where a special forces unit greeted him from the police. This happened only a few hours after he had hosted a delegation of Wajir's top leaders for a formal visit to his office.
The cabinet secretary wanted to meet with Kenyan police special forces, so he dressed like a police officer to demonstrate his power and rank.
The cabinet secretary met with a group of people today, including those from the general service unit GSU, the rapid deployment unit RDU, and the counterintelligence and protection unit CIPU.
At the event, the cabinet secretary stated that the current administration is particularly interested in taking care of the country's specialized police and meeting their demands at the right moment. Since being promoted to a cabinet minister, this is his first trip to the County, as mentioned earlier.
