The interior Cabinet Secretary and closest ally to president Uhuru Kenyatta, Dr Fred Matiang'i has finally announced his stand on who he will support in 2022. While speaking in Nyamira county, where he accompanied the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga, CS Matiang'i said that he can not go where Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are not.
"Since the handshake, I have made it clear that I won’t go where the president and former prime minister are not,” Matiang’i said.
The CS Matiang'i also revealed that the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga is the preferred person to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Does this mean that Raila Odinga is President Uhuru Kenyatta's Successor?
In addition to Fred Matiang'i, other prominent leaders that accompanied Raila Odinga are the health cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, and the Defence cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa. Both of them agreed to back the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga come 2022.
