Kiambu Governor has finally reacted to the Cholera outbreak in his county that has seen several residents to be hospitalised. Cases had been reported in Thika, Ruiru and Juja Constituencies all in Kiambu immediately after Christmas whereby two people have so far died

Through a statement, Governor Kimani Wamatangi has noted that he has been notified of the cholera outbreak and that his county is doing everything possible to deal with it. Wamatangi further listed the leading factors that have been identified by his research team including poor sanitation and poor hygiene practices as he urged Kiambu residents to improve on these two key areas
With 286 cases reported so far in Kiambu, Governor Wamatangi has pointed out that his administration has moved with speed to conduct safety water assessments so as to eliminate the suspected source of contamination. Cholera is one of the most feared water born disease which has claimed lives over the years thus the quick action by Kiambu government
