Over the last few months, ODM leader Raila Odinga and his ODM troops have been flattering to deceive as far as the signing of pre-election pacts is concerned. ODM has been linked with several parties but very few agreements have been reached so far.
There are fears within the party that they could find themselves as the weak link in the negotiation table involving Uhuru's Jubilee. The two giant parties are expected to negotiate a working Pact that will form the next government.
However, before signing the pact, the two parties were expected to sign agreements with smaller parties In order to increase their negotiation powers when on the big table. Uhuru's Jubilee recently harvested big after signing agreements with several parties including PNU and PAA. The two parties had been linked with Odm but have since opted to be on Uhuru's side instead.
A new report by a local daily has now revealed that the Newly Formed Democratic Alliance Party led by CS Wamalwa has reached an agreement with Jubilee after turning down advances from Raila's ODM. The move comes as a huge blow to Raila who will have very little strength when negotiating with Uhuru's side. So far only Wiper and KANU have agreed to be on Raila's side.
