Mombasa Governor and Deputy Party leader for the Orange Democratic Movement has issued a statement concerning Wednesday's by-election results.
In the statement shared by the party's party leader, Raila Odinga, Joho has dismissed claims that the results of the just concluded by elections in Juja and Rurii do predict what could happen in 2022 upcoming polls.
Joho stated that by Elections have never been used in Kenya's history to predict the outcome of an upcoming general election. Joho stated clearly that come 2022, Kenyans will not be guided by what happened in the past and the many by-elections that may come.
Joho has called on both parties to end unuseful extended celebrations and blame games. He has urged leaders to try use the little time that they have to focus on countering the effects brought by the pandemic. He also called on Kenyans to embrace unity.
Ruto linked United Democratic Alliance candidates won but those in Jubilee didn't make it. Most handlers of the deputy president have been using the win to forecast how Ruto will scoop a sizeable number of votes in Mt Kenya come 2022.
Having lost, blame fingers were directed at president Kenyatta's handlers ( Murathe and Tuju) for humiliating the president in his own home town. A section of leaders had called on Kenyatta to sack Murathe and Tuju and befriend other loyals who will bring back the lost glory.
With Joho's statement, the blame games being experienced in JUBILEE party should end. The team hustlers should also end with immediate effect as the results do not depict what will happen in 2022.
