Baringo Mochongoi Ward MCA Kipruto Kimosop said a section of leaders from Baringo have vowed to support Ruto, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party and the Hustler Movement.
Kimosop who met with Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri in Nakuru said the Baringo which is considered to be Senator Gideon Moi’s backyard will start the process of urging the area residents to register as UDA members.
Kimosop said the leaders from Baringo who are under UDA are in support of DP Ruto’s Hustler movement and they want to see Ruto’s support in Baringo grow.
“We are fully behind William Ruto, UDA Party and the hustler movement. We have visited Kimani Ngunjiri to laud his efforts to stand with Ruto and pushing the agenda of Hustler movement. Both Baringo and Nakuru will seek to compete on who will bring more supporters to UDA,” said Kimosop.
Ngunjiri who is from Nakuru praised Baringo for being the first county in Rift Valley, a region considered to be DP Ruto’s stronghold, for declaring their support for Ruto.
Ngunjiri said now their mission is to popularize DP Ruto’s party, UDA, and ensure Kenyans join for it to enjoy a huge following ahead of the 2022 elections.
“When it comes to politics, we respect Baringo County. You were the first County to reject BBI. Now you are the first county in Rift Valley to declare that you will support William Ruto. We want to ensure Kenyans joins UDA and Baringo should lead by example,” said Ngunjiri.
