The vice president has returned to the mountain with his brigade for another trip. Senator Irungu Kang'ata coordinated the meet the people tour, which would see the vice president visit the Maragua and Lower Gatanga constituencies.
Ruto would begin his journey in Sabasaba, a town located along the Keol Murang'a town route. A second organized rally will take place at Kaharati, Icagaki, Gakoigo, Igikiro, Kamahuha, and Makuyu. All of these are located in Maragua.
His convoy would stretch towards lower Gatanga in the afternoon, stopping at the towns of lower Makuyu, Mithini, Kirathani, and Kaguku in Ithanga before arriving at Junction. Ruto will be joined by well-known and experienced politicians such as Irungu Kang'ata, Ndindi Nyoro, and Kanini Kega.
The tour is expected to spread the word about the bottom-up approach to economics. This is in keeping with the deputy president's manifesto, which outlines a plan for him to gain power in the general elections of 2022.
