Hon Raila Amolo Odinga, the head of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement, was on the campaign road in Trans Nzoia County, where he secured a deal between the ODM and the Democratic Action Party of Kenya. After encouraging ODM candidate Moses Khaoya to drop aside and offering him a new role in the next general elections in August, the Orange Democratic Movement party chairman opted to back DAP-K Trans Nzoia County gubernatorial aspirant George Natembeya.
Later, an ally of Hon Raila Amolo Odinga openly surrendered after deciding to step aside for his close ally. Hon Moses Khaoya has announced that he will follow Hon Raila Amolo Odinga's orders and resign in favor of Hon George Natembeya. The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement has both ODM and DAP-K as associate parties. Hon Moses Khaoya was offered a position in Hon Raila's presidential campaign team.
