Raila Sparks Angry Reactions After Announcing Collection of 5M Signatures

In a post uploaded by Raila Odinga on his Twitter and Facebook accounts. Raila claims that over 5M Kenyans had appended their signatures to endorse the BBI report.

The post seems to attack DP William Ruto and his brigade who Raila refers to as the naysayers who claim to speak for the people. Ruto had asked Uhuru and Raila to postpone the BBI referendum and host it with 2022 general elections to help save the much needed Ksh 14B.

The signature collections has seen many government employees say they had been forced to sign it or else lose their jobs. Others claim that local chiefs threatened residents that they will not access government services such as bursaries for their poor children if they failed to append their signatures.

Kenyans are basically not happy with the BBI report since many claim the focus should be on dealing with Covid-19 effects and not the BBI report, but Raila is not willing to back on his goal to have a referendum before 2022 elections. Check Kenyans angry reactions below.
