Robert Kyagulanyi also Known as Bobi Wine is a Ugandan politician and popular musician. He is the Member of Parliament representing Kyadondo East Constituency in Uganda. He is the party leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) in Uganda.
This was the first time Bobi Wine was contesting for the presidency in Uganda general elections. Bobi Wine had massive support across the country and abroad though he ended up loosing to Incumbent president Yoweri Museveni. He however decided not to concede citing voter irregularities during voting. He took his petition to the Supreme Court of Uganda.
According to NTV Uganda, Bobi has had decided to withdraw his petition against president Yoweri Museveni from the courts. This is a good news to president Yoweri Museveni who is yet to be sworn in.
"We are withdrawing from the courts but we are not opting for violence. We are withdrawing the case from Mr Owiny Dollo's court - @NUP_Ug leader, Robert Kyagulanyi aka @HEBobiwine said as he announced the withdrawal of his petition." Tweeted by NTV Uganda.
