Nyeri County Deputy governor Dr. Caroline wanjiru karugu has moved to court and sued her boss , nyeri governor mutahi kahiga.
The Deputy who was elected alongside the Governor in 2017 claims that she has not received her salary since November 2019. She also accuses the county government for not inviting her to cabinet meetings since April 2019. Speaking through her lawyer she further accused the governor of denying her access to her office against her rights as she was elected to that office.

Its not clear what transpired between the deputy governor and her boss but soon it may be revealed as the Governor must respond to the allegations made against him.
She further claims that the County has not provided her with security as required and that she spends about 15000ksh. monthly for her own security. She is also forced to foot fuel expenses while discharging her duties.
This is not the first case where a Governor differs bitterly with his deputy with many cases revolving around power wrangles and others on sharing of County loot.
