Raila Fails to Admit Whether He Will Pick a Deputy From Mount Kenya [VIDEO]

ODM chief Raila Odinga is today on a tour at Maua, Meru County where he is expected to meet local leaders. Raila, like other leaders has been moving across the country popularising his 'Azimio La Umoja' inititative aimed at bringing all stake holders on board to chart the future of this country.

As a presidential candidate, Raila has developed interest in the vote rich Mount Kenya region. However, he still faces the challenge of meeting the demands of some leaders from the mountain. According to sources, the leaders had demanded that for them to support Odinga, he must pick a running mate from the region. Some leaders from Murang'a went ahead to endrose Peter Kenneth to be Odinga's deputy.

However, Raila has failed to admit nor clarify whether he will pick a running mate from the region. Speaking to one of the local radio stations in Meru earlier on, the ODM boss has revealed that it doesn't matter whom he will pick for the position pointing out that a person who will work for the people is more important than a person who comes from a certain region.
