Hustler-Dynasty: Uproar After Murkomen Endorses Abdul Haji to Succeed His Father as Garissa Senator

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Sunday left Kenyans on Twitter talking after he 'officially' welcomed renowned Westgate Hero Abdul Haji to succeed his father Yusuf Haji who died last month.

Mr. Haji was endorsed by political leaders and residents from his county to take after his father due to his zeal in serving humanity as it was witnessed during the West gate Alshabaab attack.

"... I believe his youthful energy and courage will add a lot of value to the institution of the Senate. Looking forward to working with him in the remaining 17 months..." his post read in part.

KOT thought that Murkomen was taking too fast to indulge in Garissa politics with others wondered why the hurry as the by-elections have not been conducted.

However some questioned Murkomen's move to support Haji who comes from a well known family yet they as UDA family are advocating for hustlers support.

Check out some of the reactions;

@DanielN61841575: He doesn't need your welcome. You're not a Garissa voter.

@henrykibett: A "hustler" endorsing a "dynasty".

@jorgeskanja: same people labeling others as dynasties. SMH

@BenKanyango: Once beaten, twice shy and respectful to reality. Accept and move on, it's the safe way to hide your lie of having numbers.

@OyugiStephenO1: AFRICAN States are perfect examples of unconstitutional Monarch, I remember reading this somewhere.

@kisia_odera: We're making leadership a family business in Kenya yet we're claiming to bash Dynasties.
