Tangatanga members are bitter about the recent statement that was made by Ethics and Ant-corruption Commission (EACC) and IEBC. They said that they would not allow and individuals who was impeached because of corruption and misuse of public resources. They confirmed that any person with questionable integrity will be beared from running in any political seat. This move will affect Tanga members a lot as the group has many leaders with questionable integrity.

Ferdinand Waititu declared his interest in running for Nairobi's governotorial seat next year. Mr Ferdinand Waititu is a diehard supporter of Dr Ruto. The statement from EACC and IEBC has made Tangatanga members like Senator Murkomen, Aaron Cheruiyot and many others to question the law that is hindering people with integrity issues from running in any political seat. "People are the highest decision making organ in the country. Higher even than our supreme court or parliament..." Senator Aaron Cheruiyot wrote in his Twitter account.

Senator Aaron Cheruiyot's statement implies that court rulings on corruption individuals should be ignored as long as the voters elect leaders with questionable integrity. This statement attracted criticism from kenyans who have said that the Senator want law to be applied selectively.

Kenyans then questioned the need of the constitution if political leaders do not that law applied to them. They warned the senator and other leaders who are stealing money from kenyans and them use them to take advantage of their poverty.
