Prof. George Wajackoyah is the only presidential candidate yet to exercise his civic duties of vote casting. This happened after the KIEMs kit failed to verify and Identify him.
The Roots and Party leader arrived at Indangalasia primary school in Matungu constituency, Kakamega County at 10 a.m. Engaging briefly with the presiding officer, he walked out of the station without uttering a word to the press and media.
He posed, "I understand what it is, but how long should I wait to vote?”
Angry voters threw remarks to the officials conducting the voting process claiming that it was part of the election rigging. IEBC technical team has been dispatched to take care of the issue as reported by Kakamega Residing Officer, Joseph Ayatta. Earlier Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential running mate, Rigathi Gachagua, KIEMs kit also failed to identify him for a while but later accepted.
The residing officer in Kakamega said that it was a technical issue.
