William Ruto has spent his Sunday in Nyandarua county as he traversed its various towns meeting his supporters who came out in large numbers. And while at Engineer town, the Deputy President led the locals with a vernacular gospel song.
Ruto is slowly but surely learning Mt Kenya language and this is further strengthening the bond that was initiated by Uhuru Kenyatta as they campaigned and worked together. Ruto loves God and that is how he has developed a passion for this gospel song.
He is also very strategic because learning the Mt Kenya language gets him closer to the residents and they identify themselves more with him. He has managed to get a backup of Mt Kenya's current leaders who are doing the tours with him.
The residents appreciate that he stood with Uhuru Kenyatta when it appeared that they couldn't win the elections. They walked together uniting Kenyans and won. They used to wear similar styles and colors of clothes and this brought Kenyans together more than they imagined.
