Jaramogi Oginga Odinga- the Kenyan Nationalist

It is indeed a fact that he was a Kenyan nationalist. He declined to be a prime-minister, as was being proposed by the British administrators in Kenya. Despite resigning from government, he never rebelled militarily as was being the case with many African leaders at the time. He organized scholarships for some Kenyans to study at the soviet union so that they could better their lives and later on help in the economic transformation of the republic of Kenya.

In the battle for second liberation in Kenya, he actively played a bigger role in advocating for a return to multi-party politics in Kenya. He went ahead and vied for the presidency of the republic of Kenya in the 1992 presidential elections using a political party titled; Forum for the Restoration of Democracy in Kenya, where he emerged third.

However, he died in 1994 at his home. His legacy still lives on among many Kenyans.
