Deputy President William Ruto has once again suffered a major blow as his close friend backs president Uhuru Kenyatta. The Meru Senator Prof. Kithure Kindiki had a bitter relationship with the president before he was ousted out of the deputy Speaker of the Senate. Kindiki was accused of party disloyalty and lack of respect to the president and Jubilee party manifesto.
He has also been castigating the Building Bridges Initiative BBI terming it a document that will burden the common mwanainchi. At one point he promised to rally his people against voting for the initiative so as to punish it's proponents Uhuru and Raila. He blamed his problems to those who intruded in their party to bring new changes and confuse the original agenda of the party.
But things seems to have drastically changed for the senator, today in a post Kindiki talked about the additional county allocations by the national government. He said that was a win to devolution and thank president Uhuru Kenyatta for hearing the cry of the senators. "The struggle for more funds and accountability of these resources will persist," he concluded.
