Former Lagdera Member of Parliament Farah Maalim has sent message to Azimio la Umoja 2022 presidential candidate Raila Odinga telling him what will happen if he fails to hand over the baton to Kalonzo.
Maalim has delivered his honest verdict during the time there are speculations on whether Raila Odinga is still fit enough to challenge William Ruto for the country's top seat in 2027.
According to the former deputy speaker of the national assembly, it will be wise enough if Raila downs his ambition and support Steven Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 presidential race.
Maalim says that if Raila fails to pass the mantle to Kalonzo in the 2027 general elections, he is going to have one of the most frustrating ends in his political journey.
Farah says that Raila risks getting a replicate of what he got in 1977 where he got 667,000 votes.
"If Raila Odinga does not pass the mantle to Kalonzo Musyoka and nurtures the possibility of running again, he is going to end up with something like what he had in 1997 when he had around 667,000 votes." - Farah Maalim
Amid all these, some members from Raila Odinga's inner circle have already have hinted the possibility of the long-term opposition leader running in 2027.
