Kenya is experiencing heightened political tension which is occasioned by intensive campaigns especially by those aiming to capture the precious presidential seat. Shifting of camps and ditching of political parties are some of the activities that have been dominating the political scene.
There have been reports that Gatundu North MP, Wanjiku Kibe, has decamped from Jubilee party and joined UDA. The lawmaker has been linked with the move after her earlier statement that she was listening to the ground to know her next action.

However, Kibe has come out to clear the air where she has refuted claims of joining UDA. The legislator has stated that she is in Jubilee party to stay. Wanjiku has also reiterated that she is a firm believer of president Uhuru Kenyatta and the handshake. She has added that UDA party is desperate to have her in their camp.
"My attention has been drawn by reports indicating that I have ditched Jubilee to join UDA. I want to make it clear that I am in Jubilee party to stay and my followers should not be distracted by such reports," read a part of her statement.
The MP has gone ahead to upload posts on her social media handles indicating that she is not leaving Jubilee anytime soon. Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and Tetu MP Gichuhi Mwangi are some of the recent politicians to join UDA.
