Details Emerged On What Wiper Fires Back At Raila's Plan To Run Parallel Jamhuri Day Event

Raila Odinga's Wiper Party has warned him against holding parallel Jamhuri Day celebrations on December 12.

Wiper through its Party Chair Chirau Ali Mwakwer described Raila's actions as selfish and intended to sabotage the country's existing peace.

He believes Raila's announcement will set the country back after making significant strides toward peace and stability. He claimed that if not closely monitored, the ODM chief could swear himself in for the second time.

"What is he going to do next? Will he take the oath of office? He will return us to lawlessness because creating unnecessary tension in the country benefits no one "Chirau stated.

Raila, according to Chirau, should accept that William Ruto is the president because he cannot overturn Kenyans' decision. The Wiper chairperson went on to warn Raila that if he continues to engage in such illegal acts, he risks tarnishing his reputation as a champion of democracy and a leader who upholds the rule of law.

He warned Wiper not to participate in the parallel event and asked party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to distance himself from it.
