Gachagua said in a heated address in Mombasa that President William Ruto's administration had successfully prevented a plot by individuals he only described as agents of state capture (government personnel), who he accused of plotting to capture the Mombasa port.
The DP also disclosed that President William Ruto has already directed Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, the new cabinet secretary for the ministry of transport, to conduct an audit of the port right now and return any facilities that had been taken back to Kenyans.
Balala was appointed to the high-ranking position of Vice-President of the world's oldest conservation organization Fauna & Flora International just days after turning over the tourism docket (FFI).
The organization has acknowledged some of Balala's efforts in tourism, including the expansion, launch, and implementation of the National Wildlife Strategy.
