Nyandarua Senator-Elect Roasts Raila For Always Saying This

John Methu, who was elected to represent Nyandarua County as a senator under the United Democratic Alliance, UDA Party, has made light of the fact that Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance, is contesting Deputy President William Ruto's victory in the Supreme Court.

On Monday, Raila led his brigade in the process of filing the petition in an effort to persuade the court to overturn Ruto's victory. The petition asserts that the presidential tally had irregularities that would have affected the outcome of the election.

This is the third time that Raila has filed a petition for the presidency, and in each of them, he has asserted that his rivals cheated him out of the election. This constitutes his fifth unsuccessful run for the president, the others having been in 1997, 2007, 2013, and 2017.

Speaking in Nyandarua County on Friday while attending the funeral service of Dr. peter Gitau, brother to the county's Woman Rep Faith Gitau, Methu questioned Raila's five losses, saying that the Former Prime Minister began complaining when the senator elect was 6 years, until now when he is an elected leader. Methu was in attendance at the funeral service of Dr. peter Gitau.

"Kenyans have used their right to vote and have selected new leadership; they are eager to move on. I am perplexed as to how someone could have begun complaining that his votes were stolen in 1997, when I was just a toddler. He continued to complain when I was in elementary school, secondary school, and university, and he continues to complain now, when I am a senator. It is clear from this that neither the people of Kenya nor the election commission are to blame for the problem "He struck a stance, which caused the mourners to giggle.

Methu went on to express his confidence that Ruto's win will be upheld, saying that the IEBC had conducted a free and fair election, and Kenyans did cast their votes, with the majority choosing Ruto as their president. Methu went on to express his confidence that Ruto would be upheld as the winner.

The comments made by Methu come just a few hours after the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team revealed 54 lawyers who will be attempting to defend Ruto's victory in the election.
