The Kenyan ICT cabinet secretary Joe Mucheru has now retaliated that his entanglement is not aiming at rigging votes In the favour of the Azimio leader Raila Odinga but his main aim is to ensure that Odinga's votes are protected.
Now that Mucheru's department is among the key players of the forthcoming 9th August General Elections, the United Democratic Alliance flag bearer William Samoei Ruto together with his aspirants have asked Joe to either stop taking sides or rather resign.
This is because his entanglement with the Azimio party leader is a threat to the transparency of the forthcoming elections.
However, the United Democratic Alliance chairman Johnson Muthama has also now broken to silence taking to Twitter that all Kenyans deserve a free and fair election. Prohibiting him from getting engaged in Political campaigns and matters about politics.
"Public servants are prohibited from engaging in campaigns or taking sides on Political [email protected]'s utterances and direct involvement with Azimio is a direct violation of the law. Tge can be non-partisan and devoted."Muthama had penned
