Members of parliament allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Mt Kenya region insists on the importance of Mt Kenya people to rally behind their region’s political party ahead of the upcoming general elections in August.


According to the members of parliament, led by Ngunjiri Wambugu of Nyeri Township, Jonah Mburu from lari, Jude Njomo of the Kiambu Township, Kavinga WA Thayu from Kirinyaga, and Wanjiku Kibe from Gatundu North, citing that they will not join any of the current political alliances with clear knowledge of the fate of the people from Mt Kenya.
They also commended the president's move to revive the ruling party Jubilee, insisting that they are fully supporting him and will continue to work with him until the end of his presidency.
They were speaking at St Peter's Ndumberi High School in the Kiambu township constituency, at a ceremony to hand over bursary cheques to students courtesy of NG-CDF.
