What Next For Former Judge Who Became Uhuru's Key Advisor After Losing His Position In Ruto's Govt?

After years on the bench as a judge, Paul Kihara Kariuki was former President Uhuru Kenyatta's surprise choice for the position of Attorney General to replace Prof. Githu Muigai who had resigned.

For the next five years, Kihara Kariuki would become Uhuru's chief legal advisor and a key member of his inner circle.

Often accused by his critics for allegedly misadvising the former President, Kihara nonetheless remained a key figure of Uhuru's second and final term in office.

But with the entry of President William Ruto, Kihara's days in office became numbered. He became one of the biggest casualties of the new regime as he was fired and replaced by former National Assembly Speaker, Justin Muturi.

After exiting the state law office where he was very close to power, what next for the former Court of Appeal President? Will he bounce back in other role? Will Dr Ruto consider giving him another job in future? Or is the door closed for this scion of former powerful minister, Mbiyu Koinange?
