Ever since the supreme court delivered it's verdict and upheld Ruto's Win, Azimio La umoja team leaders were disappointed. Some started pointing fingers at each other, accusing themselves for the loss they incurred during elections while others blamed the institutions which oversaw the elections and decided on the presidential petition.
And the ring leader for Azimio, Raila was forced to vacate the country and did not witness the inauguration of H.E William Ruto into office. Raila could however jet back to Kenya and although he missed the swearing in ceremony for Mombasa governor, he joined other leaders as they took their luncheon.
And while he addressed the leaders, he explained that he had to take a retreat to go and heal following the loss he incurred. He went further to explain that his wife, children and more so grandchildren were very shocked by the political revelations following Azimio loss.
This forced him to take them to a retreat to Zanzibar and gave them the opportunity to heal.
