The Africities Summit set to begin from May 17 to 21 in the city of Kisumu has so far attracted several big names across Africa and from the entire world.
As Reported by mpasho, Samuel Eto'o, the Cameroonian football legend is expected to visit Kisumu for the summit, as well as his fellow football star Didier Drogba who will be representing his country, Cote d'Ivoire at the big event.
Nonetheless, the Oscar award winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o will also grace the event. She became the star in the 'Bkack panther' movie.
The agenda of this year's edition is to mobilise the African and afro descendant diaspora to begin the journey towards an African renaissance with their fellow citizens who have remained on the continent as well as with all people of goodwill interested in the development, integration and unity of Africa.
The other Dignitaries include Macky Sall, the president of Senegal and AU president.
The former US secretary of state John Kerry, UN dep secretary general mousa faki mahamat, AU commission chairperson Ms Maimuna Mohd Sharif among the many other big names will grace the occasion.
