The Karua Effect: InfoTrak Alleges How The Ground is Quickly Shifting

The race to succeed President Uhuru is getting tighter as we approach the election D- day. The race is mainly between Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate and Azimio- OKA presidential candidate Raila Odinga. The latter has been endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta after he fell out with his Deputy President William Ruto.

According to the lasted reports released by InfoTrak, the ground is slowly shifting towards Raila's side since he appointed Martha Karua as his running mate. Recent surveys reveal that the ODM leader is ahead of Ruto everywhere except the Rift Valley and Mt. Kenya.

According to the most recent polling data from InfoTrak, Raila has 9.3 million votes and is in the lead in 20 counties throughout the Coast, Northern, Lower Eastern, Western, Nyanza, and Nairobi. However, with a total of 8.4 million votes, Ruto led in 16 counties located in Northern Kenya, Mount Kenya, and his Rift Valley backyard.

Overall, the Ruto-Rigathi Gachagua pair received 38% of the vote, while the Azimio team received 42%.
