Perhaps one of the most memorable moments online occurred today through a single-line tweet by Kirinyagah Women Representative Ngirici taunting Governor Waiguru with the question "What happened to the politics of renting a Kikuyu and not buying one?".
Purity Wangui Ngirici.
Ngirici was reacting to unfolding developments that indicate Kirinyagah Governor Ann Mumbi Waiguru could be headed towards Deputy President Dr. William Ruto's political camp.
On 23rd February when the BBI document was ratified by 44 out of 47 counties, Waiguru made her now-famous remarks.
All the excitement about Waiguru's defection was sparked by her response on a television breakfast show Wednesday morning when she made the following scathing remarks:
"Looking at the reactions and polls done nationally, we seem to have left the people behind in the quest to pass BBI", adding "I would be dishonest to say that the people of Mount Kenya were behind BBI. They were not."

Seemingly these remarks coupled with her reaction when officers from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) raided her office have been construed to mark a fallout with President Uhuru's Jubilee Party.
According to some political pundits, Waiguru's teasing UDA could be a ploy to market herself as running mate to Raila Amollo Odinga who is yet to declare whether or not he'll be contesting in the presidential ballot. Waiguru has close ties to Raila and Uhuru Kenyatta both of whom have bailed her out severally in the past.

Earlier this morning a national daily had anticipated her reaction floating the idea that she was a front-runner in DP Ruto's quest for a running mate. Waiguru has age, gender, and political clout working in her favor should she decide to go the UDA route.
The excitement has been seen in some quarters to be precipitous and overly-hyped especially by Ngirici who dreads the fact that Waiguru was set to defend her gubernatorial seat.

The entry of Dr. Karanja Kibicho into the race for Kirinyagah Governor has complicated matters for both Ngirici and Waiguru. There's a likelihood that panic has seized the ladies and everyone is scampering for opportunities separate from the gubernatorial office.
I'm the meantime Waiguru has neither affirmed nor denied that she's in the process of cutting her attachment to Jubilee.
