Raila's Alleged Dealings With 'Deep State' Exposed as Top Ruto Ally Lets it Out

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is making his already thin winning chances in the 2022 presidential race even more thinner, Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has said.

He is among former allies of the ex-Premier who have since abandoned him to join other camps and now works with Deputy President William Ruto, Raila's main opponent and challenger in next year's race.

He says that just as is being said, Raila seems to have sought the help of the said powerful cabal of people who influence and determine the political happenings in the country alias the 'Deep State'.

This, he warns, will not end well for the veteran politician, who he says is now pushing away even the small group of Kenyans who had stuck with him despite his dwindling political fortunes.

"Raila’s brand has really been dented by his association with the perceived forces of oppression, aptly named 'the system' and 'the deep state', the very he claimed denied him the presidency thrice," the former Ruiru parliamentary aspirant says.

Raila's association with the group began being detected when he joined hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta, after which he began meeting Mt Kenya tycoons, who are said to be members of the cabal.

His elder brother Oburu Oginga confirmed this last year, saying that they have finally secured the support of the 'System' and are now assured of the State House, remarks he made in their Bondo backyard.

"We have been winning but not being given access to State House because the system was against us but we now have it and are assured of the seat next year," the EALA parliamentarian said.

The People Daily had earlier reported that the tycoons have settled on Raila as their man for 2022 and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth as his running mate and possible deputy if he wins.

Earlier in the week, Nyandarua Governor and former Head of Public Service Francis Kimemia said that the deep state indeed exists and jut as is being said, decided who takes over as president.
