Deputy President William Ruto has come up with another strategy to counteract the dominance of ODM Leader Raila Odinga. He has adopted a new strategy to woo voters and supporters from Hon Raila Odinga's backyard.
Speaking recently after meeting with Migori governor Okoth Obado who hails from Raila Odinga's backyard Deputy President William Ruto promised to work with small parties which have been sidelined by bigger parties. He said that he will work with parties from Raila's region in a bid to kill the dominance of Raila in the Nyanza region.
"All those who have been isolated are welcome on board,we cannot form a government if we keep isolating these small parties. I am ready to work with them,”William Ruto stated.
Obado, who was elected on an ODM ticket but has since parted ways with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, said the idea of being zoned into a political cocoon has been the order of the day in Nyanza region and it should come to an end.
“My party (PDP) will be working with Deputy President William Ruto to form the next government,” Obado said.
Migori governor Okoth Obado has since decided to work with DP Ruto ahead of 2022 and he has promised to woo voters from Nyanza region to vote for him.
