Armed police raided the home of former Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala on Thursday and arrested him at his Milimani property.
Finding the gate locked, they climbed over the fence and broke the padlock to enter the room.
Away from the raids, Malala's mansion is a sight to behold. He claimed that the MCA had built millions of mansions during its tenure. He insists that he is a rich man, adding that he has built four mansions.
There are rumors that DP Ruto built him a house. Malala has dismissed rumors that he was framed during his tenure as Mahakalo MCA.
Malala House is located in Milimani Estate, just 500 meters from Kakamega State Lodge and Masinde Muliro University in Kakamega County.
The outspoken lawmaker said he used a loan he received from Milimani County Council for a property in Milimani while he was still a member of the Mwihako County Council (MCA).
