Amos Wako Gives Update on Azimio's Supreme Court Petition Progress

Senior Counsel Amos Wako had maintained a low profile since Chebukati declared Ruto as president-elect. The former atony general addressed the media personnel from his Busia backyard during the requiem mass of mother to former LSK's president Keneth Akide. In his address, Wako confirmed that the Azimio coalition will file a petition at the Supreme Court by Monday, 22nd 2022, to challenge Ruto's victory.

The outgoing Busia senator noted that the petition is in its final stages, and it's waiting for approval from legal minds before it is filed. He added that he and the likes of James Orengo will go through the draft petition tonight and approve it so that by tomorrow it will be ready for filling. While that was happening, various religious leaders from different religions and faiths today called upon the former prime minister to accept results and let go because the country need to move on. Watch the embedded video to get more insights on Wako's update.
