Several leaders from within the region and the entire country have come out to congratulate the people of the region as they thought that Odinga will receive hostility as the region is the perceived DP Ruto's Stronghold. Amongst the leaders who made a remark is Aaron Cheruiyot who claimed that Odm's rally in Eldoret is a big win for believer of non tribal and rationalised politics.Cheruiyot added that other leaders should emulate the way Eldoret did as and warned planners of violence in perceived political bedrooms that Kenya is maturing and they ought to be ashamed. He prayed that to be witnessed in all the planned hustlers meetings.
In several instances kenyans have witnessed hostility especially in areas perceived to be political bedrooms of senior politicians but the vice is continuously reducing. To Cheruiyot the region showed the highest level of maturity in democracy
