Ruto Advises Leaders to Familiarise With IEBC to Mobilise Voters, Commands Parliament On What to Do

In as much as aspiring leaders are looking forward to be elected in 2022, the process will not be successful without voters. As IEBC continues with voters registration process, Kenyans have been advised to be responsible and register for them to have a right to choose the right leaders.

Deputy president William Ruto took an initiative to advice his fellow leaders be conversant with the IEBC moves to be able to know and mobilise new voters in different areas. He also commanded the parliament to provide the required resources to IEBC to make their work easier.

The DP said, "IEBC has released a timetable on the places where they will be registering voters. I want to ask each and every leader to familiarise themselves with IEBC on the areas where they will be recruiting and enlisting new voters so that we can mobilise them. We also want to ask the IEBC to make sure that there are enough kits everywhere in Kenya so that every citizen can have an opportunity to be enlisted as a voter."

"If there are additional resources required the parliament should allocate them so that IEBC can discharge their mandate and make sure that every Kenyan is not denied a chance to participate in the elections," he added
