Deputy President William Ruto held a very high-profile meeting today at his Karen home that brought about some top-ranking government officials and also several governors. Among the leaders present included Ann Waiguru from Kirinyaga who recently decamped to UDA and Also Charles Keter who is a minister.

From his speech, Ruto stayed off politics claiming that his Karen meeting was not political and therefore he wouldn’t touch on matters of politics. He said that they are on a mission to discuss matters of national importance that would see the country move forward.
This meeting comes at a time when the political temperatures in the country continue to heighten with politicians across the country traversing the nation. Waiguru recently jumped ship and endorsed a Ruto presidency on grounds that the people had wished her to join the said party if she is to win the 2022 polls.
