When Martha Koome was nominated by the JSC as the suitable candidate to succeed David Maraga as the country's Chief Justice, some of the people like Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi disputed the move. They have been criticizing her but today, the CJ turned tables.
As we are currently speaking, Chief Justice Martha Koome has left many of her critics especially those that thought she can't handle election pressure praising her. That is because the President of the Judiciary revealed a key message ahead of 2022 general election as she claimed that her Supreme Court is ready to handle any election dispute that may occur in 2022.
"2022 Countdown: CJ Koome says Supreme Court ready to handle election disputes in 2022. CJ says the judiciary hopes the election will be peaceful." Said Martha Koome.
That is a big assurance from CJ Martha Koome and a warm message to all Kenyans though it is hopeful that unlike the previous elections, this time round things will not end up in the court.
