The race for the forthcoming August elections is heating up with many leaders ditching their parties by joining rival party or declaring to run as an independent candidate.The Azimio La Umoja coalition and the Kenya Kwanza Alliance are compared as the two main horses due to their popularity in various parts of the country.
There have been reports that some major politicians could end up missing from the ballot because of their questionable characters of corruption while serving in the government and integrity question marks.
According to the latest reports by the daily nation today Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, Migori Governor Okoth Obado, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua and Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter are in the list of those set to miss out on the ballot in case the petition sails through.
The other governors and members of parliament include Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi Governor), Ali Korane (Garissa Governor), Moses Lenolkulal (Samburu Governor), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia Governor), Jonah Mburu (Lari MP), Pavel Oimeke (Bonchari MP), Aduma Owuor (Nyakach MP), James Gakuya (Embakasi North MP), Ayub Savula (Lugari MP), John Waluke (Sirisia MP) and Bomet Senator Christopher Lang’at.
