President William Ruto is currently at Mavoko Constituency in Machakos county to officiate the groundbreaking ceremony of affordable housing project in the county.
The head of state is a accompanied by senior government officials led cabinet secretary Zachariah, principal secretaries Nixon Korir and Hinga.
Elected leaders from Machakos county are also in attendance led by Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti who is the host. Governor Wavinya Ndeti is a member of Wiper party which is an affiliate party of opposition.
Other Wiper party leaders in attendance includes; Kitui governor Julius Malombe, Mavoko legislator Patrick Makau who is the area member of parliament, Machakos senator Agnes Kavindu, Kathiani legislator Robert Mbui who doubles as deputy minority leader in national assembly among other elected leaders.
UDA party national chairman who hails from the county Johnstone Muthama and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko are also in attendance.
