Finally the awaited day has come. Kenyans have been waiting patiently for the fifth president to be announced from last week after voting and tallying of the election results. The observers, ambassadors from different countries and some elected politicians in different seats and areas have been waiting at the Bomas of Kenya since morning for the chair of IEBC to announce the president elect. Speaking to the press, the vice chair Juliana Cherera has said that they cannot take ownership of the results, because of the opaque nature in which the elections have been condected. There has been a comprehensive nature of the results. She said that she will give a statement later. There has not been any understanding between the IEBC commissioners, this has been evident where a group of the commissioners are at Bomas and others at Serena hotel. It is unfortunate that the results have not been announced as was expected from earlier announcement which indicated that the elections would be out by now. Kenya should continue to maintain peace as they await the announcement of the president elect.
