Kyagulanyi Finally Withdrew The Petition From The supreme Court

The government spokesperson Mr Ofwono Opondo says that Kyagulanyi lacked the evidence to prove to supreme court to nullify president Museveni's Victory and that is why he finally decided to instruct his attorneys through Medard Ssegona to withdraw the case from the supreme court. This came after the supreme court in Kampala on Wednesday rejected the National Unity Party head Kyagulanyi's bid to file additional affidavits in support of his petition challenging the victory of president Museveni in the January 14 elections.

The former national unity platform flag bearer petitioned the supreme court on February 1 to declare that Mr Museveni was not validly elected since the electoral commission did not follow the law in conducting the poll.Mr Ofwono Opondo says that Kyagulanyi has for a long time been playing games even when they are not necessary. Ofwono added that Bobi Wine has been making dilute excuses and blackmailing judges, for instance when he said he wanted that some judges of the supreme court not to take part in his petition. It is also anticipated that Museveni said earlier that Uganda can only be led by a sober person not drunkards and Ganja smokers who are puppets of foreigners. According to Museveni, Kyagulanyi is dealing with foreigners to disturb the peace of Uganda but has always assured Ugandans that no foreigner can change anything in Uganda.

Ofwono Opondo also used the opportunity to congratulate President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni upon winning the election especially when he has no court case to answer.
