The deputy president William Ruto is today in Meru County while Raila Odinga has also pitched tent in Nanyuki all to convince the people into supporting their statehouse quest. The fact of the matter is that Mt Kenya region is a key voting block they would propel this leaders to the top seat.
However it's clear Raila Odinga is just catching up for the ground is generally in favor of DP Ruto. It's clear already that the people have decided to come together behind all this leaders with Ruto mainly being seen as the man to beat in the region.
Looking closely, the deputy president William Ruto has avoided to endorse anybody directly and instead focused on his big four agenda. It's already clear that Ruto has moved on to capture support of the people from many corners of the country with Raila Odinga now playing catch up.
It's however a matter of wait and see of what will unfold moving into the 2022 general election. The fact of the matter is that Ruto seems to have taken over in several corners of Kenya something that confirms that moving forward only time will tell.
