Politics has different stories each day in this beautiful country of Kenya. There's no given day you will miss a headline touching on a political topic. Now the focus today is on a certain governor from the former Rift Valley province.
The Internet was lit with an old photo of the governor who is currently serving his last tern in office. Remember that Governors in Kenya are only legible to last for 2 terms in office, after that they will not be able to vie once again. The Kericho county Governor Paul Kiprono Chepkwony was once serving as a NYS officer.
Back in the dah during President's Moi rule, it was compulsory for all student to go through the NYS training before joining universities. The governor is seen with his uniform standing straight like a police officer on parade. He was a a trainee in the service back in the year 1989. That means he completed his high school education the previous year which was 1988.
After completing the training, he later joined Jomo Kenyatta University Agriculture and Technology to pursue a bachelors degree in chemistry. The politician later enrolled for a masters degree at the University of Nairobi where he graduated in 1996. Chepkwony was a determined person with education as he later did a PhD in chemistry.
