The Senate speaker Ken Lusaka today warned leaders serving in different counties that they risked facing the wrath of senators if they were found to have accountability issues. He said this in Bungoma county.
With him was the Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula who also raised concern over serious accountability issues in the county where the controller of budget had raised issues over misappropriation of covid-19 pandemic funds given to the county.
Lusaka proceeded to say that their work was to ensure that counties received funds on time by passing the necessary bills on time. He promised to follow up on the delayed release of funds to counties because people were suffering a lot.
He finally urged the locals to consider following the covid-19 laid down preventive measures by the government because the disease was now serious and was spreading very first.
