Prominent Lawyer Donald B Kipkorir has weighed in on the next JSC Interviews to appoint the judge of the supreme court. His main concern is the invitation of the president of the court of appeal Justice William Ouko.
Donald Kipkorir had declared that he was fully behind justice William Ouko and he had hopes that the judicial service commission would settle on him as the next Chief Justice. However, to his disappointment, the commission settled on lady justice Martha Koome as the next chief justice.
Donald Kipkorir has stated that Ouko should not be interviewed again but the Commission should adopt his performance in the last Interviews, Donald argues that preparation for another interview, barely a week after attending a serious Interview will be tiresome for Justice Ouko.
"Hon. Justice William Ouko who was my favorite, went through the rigorous interview for Chief Justice. For him to prepare again & interview for a seat in Supreme Court is double jeopardy. JSC should use common sense & adopt his interview for CJ mutatis mutandis."
