Moses Kuria reacts to Azimio aspirants who destroyed UDA billboard in Kiambu.

Prior to Raila Odinga's planned gathering in Gatundu South, an advertisement for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party was destroyed on a billboard.

Today, July 6, 2022, the presidential candidate for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance is campaigning in Kiambu after visiting the nearby Nyeri county the day before.

In the Mt. Kenya region, Raila and his running mate Martha Karua are conducting a charm offensive. Before moving on to Kirinyaga county tomorrow, they will conduct a campaign in Kiambu today.

Former Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria attributed the destruction of the UDA campaign poster to Kiambu Deputy Governor Joyce Ngugi and another politician Njinji Murigi.

While Murigi is running as an Independent, Ngugi is running for the Gatundu South MP seat on a Jubilee party ticket. The coalition known as Azimio la Umoja One Kenya includes the two.

Ngugi and Murigi according to Kuria, are responsible for destroying the UDA campaign billboard in Gatundu. He mockingly urged Raila to tell the two not to support his "fundamental ideals" of tearing down railway lines.
