As we approach the general elections, campaigns are the order of the day in every corner of Kenya. Most Kenyans are interested in the presidential race given that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not be contesting since he will be completing his two terms as per the Constitution.
The two front runners for the top seat include Deputy President William Samoei Ruto and the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya flag bearer Raila Odinga. Odinga is enjoying huge backing from President Uhuru Kenyatta and many more prominent politicians.
Odinga and his Azimio brigade have been in the Mt Kenya region trying to persuade the residents to choose him in the upcoming polls. Today he is expected to continue traversing the region. He will be today in Gatundu accompanied by several leaders.
Moses Kuria has taken to his Facebook Page to welcome him in a special way. This is what he wrote.
"Dear Raila Odinga welcome to the great Gatundu today my friend. Ujisikie kuwa nyumbani na ujitetee Kwa watu wangu. Sisi ni wapenda wageni na wapenda Amani."(meaning feel at home and look for votes. We like visitors and peace).
