Azimio La Umoja coalition gained momentum in MT Kenya Politics the day Raila Odinga picked Martha Karua as his running mate candidate.
Today, MT Kenya region have candidates who will contest for various political seats from MCAs to governors. In addition, they also have the Deputy president slot should Azimio win.
In Meru county, Governor Kiraitu Murungi has vowed to Campaigned for the UDA candidate after Mr. Aburi who is also vying on Azimio ticket supported Murungi's rival Ms Kawira Mwangaza.
According to Kiraitu Murungi, Aburi should have supported him in defending Meru gubernatorial seat since they are both vying for various seats on Azimio ticket.
However, since Aburi decided to Campaigned for Murungi's rival candidate, he has also vowed to Campaigned for honorable Gichunge Kabeabea who is defending on a UDA ticket.
Also, apart from Kawira Mwangaza of Independent party, Kiraitu is also facing tough competition from the UDA candidate Senator Mithika Linturi.
