Four candidates Juliana cherera , Francis Wanderi,Irine Masit and Justus Nyanga'ya that were nominated for the IEBC commissioner are being vetted today. All the four candidates are facing the parliamentary panel that are vetting them to determine who if fit for the position.
During the vetting Francis noted that it was important to involve all the stakeholders so as to build the credibility of IEBC. He said that when selected he would ensure transparency and accountability in the coming election and we will not have a situation where the election is cancelled because of some reason
Irine maset said if given the opportunity she would support the use of huduma cards during voting as long as it is regulated in a way that someone can only vote once. She olso noted that there is need to regulate the campaign and the timing so that the social economic environment are not interfered with .We should have regulations that prevent people from moving around and tampering with our norm in election period.
